Before we think about branding (or re-branding) it’s important to do a little exploration of the concept.
What is a BRAND?
It goes beyond the visual symbols of the business or individual – the “logo” or “trademark” to how a brand communicates to your audience.
Ultimately it boils down to these two questions:
How does it make them feel?
And how do you WANT them to feel?
Taking time for introspection on the ideals and message you want your business to communicate is essential. We are bombarded all day long with different brands, and sometimes it can be tempting to just pick a logo based on something we’ve seen others do.
Design elements alone do not make a brand.
An eye-catching graphic, a nice color palette, and a cool font are hose are all vital to the creation of a logo design, it’s important to look beyond the initial appeal to find meaning.
